This four-story, 56,667 sq. ft. science center features the best in sustainable design to achieve LEED^® Platinum and real payback in operational costs. It houses 14 multidisciplinary classrooms with integrated laboratories and dedicated research labs allowing instructors and students to move easily between theory and application. Science on Display areas provide interactive learning opportunities. Daylight is used on all perimeter classrooms, labs and offices. The central circulation core is flooded with controlled daylight from skylights. Construction was achieved well within budgets. Maintenance was reduced by Spectrum Engineers’ careful choice of lamps and controls.
