Wyoming National Guard Afton Readiness Center

Wyoming National Guard Afton Readiness Center

Spectrum Engineers provided electrical and acoustical design services for the new $14-million Afton Readiness Center in Afton, WY. The new National Guard Readiness Center replaced the old Afton Armory that had been used for more than 50 years. The square footage is now more than 42,000 sq. ft., almost triple the size of the old facility. Construction was completed in September 2015. The center serves members of the 1041st National Guard Unit, which includes soldiers from the Star Valley area as well as Evanston and Rock Springs.

Some military buildings have specific acoustic requirements for privacy. We reviewed the architect’s plans to make sure the acoustical requirement was met on this project.Sarah Rollins, MS, INCE, DMC-D, XTP-E, Spectrum Engineers
