Dixie State University Health Sciences Building
The 78,519 square-foot, $15.7 million Dixie State University (DSU) Health Sciences Center is located adjacent to the Intermountain Healthcare Dixie Regional Medical Center (DRMC), allowing DSU students access to the state-of-the-art medical equipment, while the DRMC staff are able to use the Health Sciences Center training facilities, through technology and facility sharing.
The Health Sciences Center includes classrooms, lecture halls, a dental suitethat serves as a teaching center as well as a functional dental office in whichpatients are actually treated, skills area with simulated operating, exam and patient rooms, and X-ray labs with real equipment.
The Dixie State University Health Sciences building serves the medical and dental programs, and is unique because it is located in such close proximity to a medical center. Through technology and facilities sharing the DSU students will have a rare opportunity to learn inside classrooms and real medical scenarios.David Wesemann P.E., LEED AP, ATD Spectrum Engineers
