Cottonwood Heights Municipal Center

The new Cottonwoods Heights Municipal Center is a single story building constructed on 4.75 acres of land. The 40,000 square foot building consists of two wings – the police wing and the administrative wing. The central area of the building features a council chamber, lobby and community room that’s available to host community events. Spectrum Engineers provided electrical engineering and technology design that included structured cabling, security systems, audio visual. GSBS designed the new building. Layton Construction is the general contractor.

This was a much needed building to serve the police and public officials of the Cottonwood Heights community. In addition to the offices and Council Chambers, it has a large, flexible space that can be used for public functions as well as an emergency operations center. It was designed with the latest technology in energy-efficient lighting, audio/visual, communications and security systems.Dave Wesemann P.E., LEED AP, ATD, Spectrum Engineers
