Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Gilbert Temple

The Gilbert Arizona Temple is a temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, (LDS) in the town of Gilbert, Arizona. At 85,000 sq. ft., the Gilbert Temple is the largest temple the Church has constructed in 17 years. The five-level temple is 82.5 feet tall with a spire reaching 195 feet, making it the tallest building in Gilbert and one of the tallest in the entire Phoenix East Valley, where it resides on a 15-acre site. Construction was completed in January 2014. This temple is the 142nd operating temple of the LDS Church, the fourth in Arizona, and one of three in the Phoenix metropolitan area.

Spectrum Engineers provided acoustic design services to meet the acoustical and noise control requirements as described in the LDS Temple Design Guidelines.

Houses of worship are unique projects to work on because they traditionally include more quiet rooms than a typical commercial setting. Acoustic separation is vital to the worship services that happen inside.Sarah Rollins, MS, INCE, DMC-D, XTP-E, Spectrum Engineers
