Technical facilities and infrastructure in TV studios are extensive, ranging from satellite dishes to edit suites, from commercial production to technical processing in addition to traditional studio tasks. All of these amenities and systems are included in the 38,000 sq. ft., $7 million facility KUTV Studios and Office in Salt Lake City. Spectrum Engineers provided design solutions for the complex and challenging grounding, communications/data, video, audio, power and lighting systems. Spectrum’s experience with the design of studios helped the firm to guide the owner and contractor through many technical problems, in the implementation of these systems, especially the grounding system.
