Spectrum Engineers provided technology design services (voice/data cabling, teacher
lecterns, computer networks and A/V systems), lighting design and mechanical and
electrical engineering on projects at the 303,700 sq. ft., $9 million Granite Education
Center (GEC). The GEC project converted a medical center campus into school district
facilities. The Granite Technical Institute (LEED® Certified), for which Spectrum
provided technology design, is housed in the 192,000 sq. ft. Educational Services
Building and provides training in areas such as nanotechnology, biotechnology, pre-engineering
and other high-tech areas. The Educational Services Building houses district academy
programs, Granite Peaks (adult high school), family resource center, student assessment
center and teacher quality center. The 98,000 sq. ft. Administrative Services Building
(LEED® Certified) consolidates district administrative functions under one roof.
The Data Center supports the needs of the entire district.
