Spectrum Engineers designed the mechanical, acoustical, plumbing, electrical, lighting
and security systems for this project that involved an 18,000 sq. ft. addition of
worship space and remodel of 2000 sq. ft. of existing space at Blessed Sacrament
Catholic Church. To provide lighting in the nave, natural light was brought into
the interior with skylights and large side windows. Dimmable compact fluorescent
downlights provide general and emergency lighting. To support the liturgy, individual
lighting was provided for each station of the cross. Directional Tungsten Halogen
lighting was used to light the pews and aisles. These are located above the aisles
to facilitate maintenance. The lighting and control system is suitable for special
parish and community recitals, pageants and other occasional performances.
