Various Arizona, Colorado and Utah Projects
Over the past decade, Spectrum Engineers has provided mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineering and technology design (MEP/T) in various combinations for dozens of IASIS Healthcare projects in Arizona, Colorado and Utah. IASIS Arizona projects include upgrades and renovations to Tempe St. Luke’s Hospital, Tempe; and Mountain Vista Medical Center, Mesa. Utah projects include multiple remodels, upgrades and evaluations at Salt Lake Regional Medical Center, Salt Lake City; renovations, upgrades and studies at Davis Hospital and Medical Center, Layton; upgrades at Pioneer Valley Hospital, West Valley City; and renovations at Jordan Valley Medical Center, West Jordan. Spectrum provided electrical engineering for the new IASIS Pikes Peak Regional Hospital in Woodland Park, CO, as well. Combined, the remodel and upgrade projects exceed $20 million in construction budgets. Each of these projects was performed at a working hospital necessitating carefully planned phasing of work as well as maintaining the performance of aging systems while often replacing them with new systems. To keep the facilities operational, many critical-path construction items were performed after-hours and over holidays, which often meant that Spectrum performed field investigations overnight for a 5:00 am completion time the next morning.
